1991 Other Lexus Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My son has a 1991 lexus recently he went to turn the car on and the key won't turn in the ignition, you put the key in the ignition and it won't turn at all, we have looked every where for maybe a button or any thing that would maybe unlock it and can't find any. Do you know what the problem could be?

Being a 1991, I would first try a different key. The wafers inside the lock are probably worn or the key is worn.

Try to pull the steering wheel slightly in the event there is pressure on the lock and turn the key at the same time.

IF these don't work, I would expect to find a lock cylinder replacement in store.
