1991 Lexus LS 400 throttle position sensor

Hello guys, I just put on a new throttle position sensor on my 1991 lexus ls400 and now its shifting hard when I put it in drive. I know it has to be at a certain degree but I dont know the answer to that. Maybe you guys can help. Thank you Derrick, Jax fl.
