1990 Lexus LS 400 How long will my alternator last with thi

Ok I bought a 1990 Lexus ls400 with a power steering fluid leak. After about 2 months it caused the alternator to go out. My question is, if I replace the alternator without fixing the leak how long before it goes out again?

It depends alot on how much it is leaking onto the alternator. This leak is a common problem. Many people cut a tin or plastic can and drape it over the alternator to divert the fluid.
Discounttoyotaparts. Com sells power steering rebuild kits that are not very expensive and not to difficult for the do-it-yourselfer.
