I can't take the key out of the ignition hole. I turned off the engine and pushed the key in to release but it won't turn to unlock the key. The steering wheel is straight and the shift is in park. Help! This happened a few days ago. We went and bought a new battery yesterday and installed it in.

If the tumbler assembly is broken it wil have to be replaced. What you describe is all mechanical inside thelock/tumbler assembly. Try wiggling the steering wheel. Have you tried to turn it back on then off again?

I've tried wiggling the steering wheel and turning it on and off but still nothing. My father-in-law unhooked the battery and I was able to take out the key. Once it's hooked on again, the key was stuck. When he took out the solenoid w/ the battery still hooked, everything seemed fine. Is it that or would I have to replace the whole lock assembly?

Sounds like the solenoid is bad if it will work with it removed. Sorry I looked up the wrong car. If the lock solenoid is stoppingit, plug the solenoid in, but dont install it to see if it works
