My alternator went out. After it was repaired my dash lights do not work. Sometimes they will come on and stay on for a short period of time. Usually they flash for a little while and go out and stay out. The spedometer works. Any Ideas?

Check the fuses. Odds are a fuse or two were burned sometime in the process of your repair Replace. Try removing the battery terminals for a minute or two. Then see if it works. Get a car electric tester for about 14 bucks. It should indicate Battery voltage, with the car off, on, etc. Odds are your replacement alternator is not working properly. That device is worth the money. Also tells you if you need the battery replaced. Check for 12 and 14 volts.

Let me know either way. Thanks and happy holidays.
