The left key in ignition warning bell sounds, on my 1999 Buick LeSabre', after I turn off the engine & open the driver's door even though I have removed the key. Also the headlights are staying on for an extended length of time after the car has been shut off.

It sounds like the switch that senses the ignition key is sticking in the on position causing the vehicle to think the ignition key is still in the ignition.
As for the head lights I believe you can change the amount of time the headlights stay on after you shut the vehicle off through the instrument cluster. Refer to the owners manual for directions. It could be related to the vehicle thinking the key is still in the ignition. This switch is inside the steering column by the ignition key cylinder.
