I have LED headlight for the low beam and high beam. Low beams are working fine but the high beams are not. The car uses high beam for daytime running lights. So I only have one of the bulbs working and it’s low voltage because it’s really dim and other one doesn’t turn on. I installed anti flickers but that isn’t helping. When I turn in my high beams, both of them work perfectly fine as it should. I changed the fuse to a higher amp and that didn’t help either. To conclude, these bulbs don’t work as daytime but does work as high beams. The bulbs are not defective.

Clearly the vehicle was not built with LEDs correct? If you added them to the vehicle, have they ever worked or did you just put them in and they are operating as you described?

If you just installed them and they are not operating can you give me the part number and manufacturer of the bulbs?

If they were working and this issue just started, how long have they been working properly?

Your vehicle uses three relays for DRL plus a fuse. The fact that one is dim shows there is continuity but I suspect the LED is throwing off resistance and causing the issue. Resistance of an LED is very minimal and it causes all sorts of functionality issues.

Let's start with this info and go from there. Thanks

This car came with halogen headlights and I converted it to LED. The part number is Kensun-LED2-9005-30W. The bulbs are operating as described right when I installed them.

Okay. How long did they operate properly for? Do you have the original bulbs? If so, can you try plugging them in and seeing if they do the same thing.

Due to these bulbs being plug in replacements, they are the ones that give all sorts of issues in operation. The reason is, the resistance difference from a halogen bulb is much different and they cause issues in the lighting system. They may operate for a short while but then cause issues and it is difficult to figure out the issue.

Let's try plugging in the original bulbs and go from there. Thanks

Sorry to say it but the bulbs are the issue and I think that just confirmed it. They will not operate on your vehicle without some pretty indepth alterations. I am sure you will need to add resistors in line for each bulb and may even need them for each circuit. However, I have no way of telling you what size resistor or if they need to go before or after the load.

Unfortunately this is pretty common with LED lamps. Best thing I can recommend is call the company and see if they have an additional kit that can go with it to make them operate.

I did put resistors on them and it didn’t work. When I put these bulbs into low beams they work perfectly fine. It’s the daytime running that doesn’t work.

I understand but how would you know what size resistors to put in and what circuits did you put them on? The only way to get close is to measure resistance of the original bulbs in each setting and install resistors on each one of these so that it matches.

I am sorry to say it but the issue you are having is a common issue where some functions work with the LED's but not all. Then put the original in and everything works fine which shows it is the LED bulbs.

Unfortunately I am not going to be able to tell you how to make this work because I don't know any of these resistance readings. Which means your best bet is to call the manufacturer and tell them what you have and if the company is any good they will have experienced this and tell you what you have to do to fix it.
