Is there a specific area that this leaking from? More then likely this is a pan gasket but it could be a seal so we need to try and narrow the area in order to figure out what this could be.

Either way we are going to need to clean the transmission of all the fluid and grim so that we can try and find where this may be coming from.

Just use a spray cleaner from a parts store and then start the engine and lay on the ground to try an find the general area and then we can go from there. Thanks

Hello, I'm Danny.

Just to add my 2 cents here. If it's motor oil leaking then it's coming from the engine rear main seal. If it's transmission fluid the it's leaking from the front pump seal. Either way the transmission will have to be removed to gain access to either. Kind of hard to tell from the picture. It's leaking from the bellhousing through the inspection plate so it could be either. Does it look to be motor oil or transmission fluid? Here is a tutorial on how to replace a crankshaft rear main seal:

Let us know and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros
