Pulling out of my driveway I noticed fluid. It is a dark brownish color. I looked under the vehicle and could see that the drive shaft was all wet. After I drove it I turned it off and noticed a burned smell that smelled just like asphalt. The truck seems to run and drive fine.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a rear seal leaking from the transfer case. Grab a flashlight to look under the car to confirm. If so here is a guide to remove the drive shaft so you can replace the seal.

Let me know if that is what it is and I will send instructions on how to change it.

Please let us know what you find.

Cheers, Ken
