Good day,

In the morning after first start of engine, switches to HV battery after 2 or 3 miles, is it normal for above listed car?

Just so I understand, when the engine is cold and you start the vehicle, the gas engine runs and then after a couple miles it switches to just the battery? If this is the case, this sounds normal.

If you take a look at the attached document it explains the power up sequence. The final step is to start the gas engine. Basically, it is doing this to ensure proper operation during cold operation. Then once it sees the battery is properly charged and all other requirements are met to run off just the battery, it switches.

In newer hybrid vehicles, it does this check quicker and it may not even start the engine. However, on your vehicle this is normal.

Let me know if you have questions and we can go from there. Thanks
