I was driving home, and it just happened. I would like to know the cause and how to fix it. Rod knock, lifter tap, spun bearing, etc? What is it? It is supercharged, sub model g60.

Hi,

The noise and condition will require different repairs. A lifter tap can be as simple as an adjustment issue. However, a rod or main bearing would likely lead to an engine overhaul.

First, if it is possible, record the sound and upload it for me to hear. Hopefully, I will be able to identify it.

Also, here is a link you may find helpful. Read through it and let me know your thoughts.

Also, please understand this vehicle isn't offered in the US, so I have very limited technical information. However, I'll do my best to help.

Let me know.

I had just installed coil overs literally two days beforehand and then this happens after I bought a new exhaust and wide body kit. Like bro if only it had happened sooner so I could have just blown my money on forged internals and a lysholm supercharger. (The supercharger on the car was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago)

Hi,

That isn't good news. Also, I was wrong. The vehicle is offered in the US. If you need torque specs or engine specifications, let me know.

Take care and let me know what I can do to help.
