Knocking engine?

I was driving and felt a wheel jersey to the left and then the engine started knocking loudly. Higher ram has a grind squeal added in. No engine check light. Is this rod knock, timing, lifters or a transmission issue?

Hi,

The noise could be any of the things you mentioned and more. However, I'm not sure what you mean by wheel jersey. Did you hit a Jersey Barrier?
