Are there two (2) knock sensors on this vehicle?

Both the 2.4 and the 3.3 engines use a single knock sensor. The 2.4 is on the side of the head while the 3.3 is on the block under the manifold. Both use a shielded white signal wire between the sensor and ECM. On the 3.3 it's easier to relocate the sensor than to tear the engine down to get to it. You just need to bolt it to a solid spot on the outside of the block, I try not to use the top of the intake like some do because you then have the gaskets that lower its sensitivity. Just be sure to use shielded wire. Don't leave the original connected as it can short out and cause a knock sensor code.
