My rio recently started to die out randomly and about 5 minutes later im able to start and drive it? My question is if the knock sensor being faulty can cause the engine to die, I have recently replace my cam position sensor so I ruled that out, I have had mixed opinions as far as the knock sensor causing engine to die out.

I don't think the knock sensor will cause it to stall -all it does is sense the engine when knocking and pinging then the computer turns around and retard the spark

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge. A knock sensor will allow it to start if bad or good. See what is really screwed up. Also clean throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and iac hole
