2002 Kia Sportage had timing belt break & do some valve & piston damage. Basically, need to replace 1/2 of engine. My mechanic said as 1 option he could put in used engine & replace clutch while at it for $2,500. Car has 128,000 miles -- just paid off. Don't want another car pymt? Suggestions? What I'm pondering is making this repair or put $2,500 towards used car?

Hi there,

Always a hard question this.... i alway answer it the same way, if it was my car, and i happy with it? has it been reliable before this problem? is it becoming to heavy on fuel? will it suit my need for the next few years? ask your self these questions and i feel that you will come to a conclusion fast enough.
