My car has stayed on driveway for over a year. The engine can start, but car won't move. I am afraid there is a leak somewhere in tranmission line.

How can I find out what is wrong? Thank you.

Hi there,

Start up the car and select each gear one at a time, go through the full range 2 or 3 times, this will help get fluid back into all the valves and servos in the transmission. Check the fluid level top up if required try and select the gears and give a little throttle as well. You may have to do this a few times as a sticky shift valve may be quite stubborn to free up. If you have no success in getting ant drive, it will be a case of a trip to the transmission shop for further inspection.
