My dealer said I might need a timming belt? How can I tell if I really need this belt? How would I engine act. I just replaced abelt last week after they replaced the water pump, is this the same belt?

Ok timing belts are replaced by mileage intervals. You are at that interval. The timing belt is what replaced the old timing chain and gears in older cars. So if the belt breaks the piston's hit the valves and you either buy a new head or rebuild yours if it can be rebuilt. So the dealer saying it may need it is right by the miles that are on your car. You replace this belt about every 80000 or so because you do not want it to break as this will do lots of damage. Here is a pic of the belt that they are refuring to.
