1998 Kia Sportage trying to over heat

i have a 1998 kia sportage ex it trys to over heat it will go up to the h mark on the temp gage then it comes back down i have changed the the sencers for the fan and the temp gage and it stills does the same thing

Replace the thermostat and go from there
