our spectra seems to have some type of hesitation at high speeds. the engine has this sluggish-ness you only feel around 60-70mph. Car runs great other wise. It's not a tire thing casue it's been aligned and has new tires. It seems to be in the engine. We've tried fuel injector cleaners and high rated fuel but nothing seems to help. Could this be a spark issue or can you point me in a different direction?

First thing that comes to mind is the fuel filter. If this is partially plugged, it will cause the symtoms you described.

we looked into changing the fuel filter but it is part of the fuel pump assembly tucked nicely in the gas tank. the filter is not a changeable part.

A fuel pressure test will tell if the fuel system is starving for fuel.
