Shakes or Wobbles problem
2003 Kia Spectra 4 cyl Automatic 106000 miles

Hello, my kia spectra, I was driving it down the road and all of the sudden the engine light started to flash, so I slowed down and pulled over. Ive noticed now on idle my car shakes and I hear a "put, Put" sound coming from the exhaust.

when I increase the alleration the car seeems lacking power?

i have this weird smell as well,

the only ive done lately is gave a engine shampoo at a local carwash? -> I dont know if thats related.

It sounds like you may have damaged an ignation component. What you need to do is this. Take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. Most will do it for free. From that, I will know what cylender has been affected and can direct you.

Do that and let me know what you find.
