2004 Kia Sorento loud thunking noise underneath

I hear a loud noise like something is hitting the side of my car when I go over a bump or gravel road, almost like something is loose underneath but I checked and found nothing. Thank you

Have you checked the exhaust system to make sure it isn't hitting the underside of the vehicle?

Yes. The exhaust system is fine. I hear it also when I start off and when I back up to one of those cement parking lot blocks I hear it then to when the tires touch. Thanks

The only thing I can say is to have the rear bushings checked. To me it sounds like an exhaust issue. Is anything hanging?

No, nothing is hanging. I do notice if you rock the car back and forth you hear a clicking coming fromthe rear wheel. Thanks

Well, lets start simple. Make sure the wheel is tight, brake caliper, the tracking bar bushings are good. While you rock it, have a helper see if they can identify where the noise is coming from.
