2004 Kia Sedona problems with repair

I just took my car in to have a new compressor in cause cluthes were burnt up. They ran a dig. Test which they didnt need to cause I told them the problem. They said I needed a whole new system I told them I just needed a compressor an I talked with mech. An he agreed. Then just a hour ago they called an said they keeping car overnight cause there iss some blockage in lines. When car is idling it is fine but when giving rpm it goes up to 350psi an blows freon out of compressor. Please help I never heard of such

It may be posible that when the clutch seized the pistons in the compressor shattered causing pieces to contaminate the system. Most comanies will not warenty any ac parts if you do not replace the parts that come contaminated. So yes it is quite possible that these repairs were necessary.
