Hi:
A roar will never be a cv-joint. CV-joints click when bad. If it is a roar that is only heard when you turn right, you have a bad right wheel bearing. When you turn left, much more weight is placed on the right wheel. When you turn left, the weight is taken off the right wheel and the noise decreases. Make sure it isn't something like bad tire wear, but chances are it's the bearing.
