Engine Performance problem
2007 Kia Rio 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 48000 miles

i would like to know where the fuel filter is so I can change it. I have called 2 different places and get different responses. One place told me the fuel filter was in the gas tank. The other place said that the fuel filter was in the fuel pump so the only way to replace is was to replace the fuel pump because its all one part. I am confused since in my maintenance hand book it says I should replace the fuel filter. It mentions nothing else.

Its in the fuel pump which is in the gas tank

You have probably delt with this already but what I have found out is pretty much what I have told ya. What i don't know is if you can access the top cover of this assembly from under the rear seat bottom, or if you need to drop the fuel tank.
Fun, huh?

the fuel filter is #13 in the picture
