Keyless remotes work that I just purchased

2001 GMC Jimmy: I've purchase a new keyless entry remote and it will not work for some reason? I follow the instructions to a t. I hold down the unlock button on the drivers door and turn ingition on off twice and the release the unlock button and the locks lock and unlock. But when I hold the remote and press the lock and unlock it don't work

If you purchased a new remote only then you have to have one that worked with truck first otherwise it needs to be programmed to the vehicle unless this is an aftermarket unit if it is then take it back to where it was installed.

Thanks for your help but I never received any remotes for the jimmy and the place I bought the remotes can't help as the are clueless.

Then you'll have to have it programmed to your vehicle. Check with a garage they may be able to do it otherwise you'll need to go to dealer and they will charge at least $100
