I'm looking to install a keyless remote to my car. The basic one that locks and unlocks. What would the procedure be? Do I need to take it to a dealership?

Good afternoon,

You will need to get a remote start and have it installed. You will need to have a separate remote for that function. I do not see that option available for this year make and model.

The key-less entry is the only option.

Okay, sorry, I had a senior moment.

That system needs to have a control module installed with wiring and then you need the remotes. Then I suggest taking it to the dealer as they will have to program that module and tell the body control module that the system is there and turn it on. If you do not have it right now, it is not active in the body control module.

Correct. It was an option for keyless entry, not a remote start.
