Key stuck on start

Recharged the A/C system, when I went to turn the car off the keys were stuck in the ignition in the on position. I tried wd40 and moving the gear shift. I even drove the car around and the keys are still stuck.

Good morning,

Sounds like the cylinder has locked up.

The steering wheel has to be removed and the turn signal switch needs to be released in order to get to the lock cylinder bolt to remove the cylinder.

There are 2 wires for the pass-lock that need to release from the turn signal switch connector at the bottom of the column for removing the cylinder.

I attached pictures and procedures for you to view.

J 1859-03 Steering Wheel Puller
J 38720 Side Screws
Or Equivalents

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.
2. Inflator module; refer to "Inflator Module - SIR".
3. Nut.
4. Note mark on steering shaft and steering wheel to ensure proper alignment during installation.
5. Steering wheel, using J 1859-03 and J 38720. Be sure to use the correct size bolts for pulling the wheel.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Route wiring through steering wheel.
2. Align mark on steering wheel with mark on shaft.
3. Steering wheel.
4. Nut.
Tighten nut to 41 Nm (30 ft. Lbs.).
5. Inflator module; refer to "Inflator Module - SIR". Do not pinch any wires.
6. Enable SIR system; refer to "Enabling the SIR System".
