I put the key in and it turned to the on position, the I turned it to start it and (this is the first time this had ever happened) it turned really easy but did not start the van. Now the key wont come out and just turns in the ignition. It wont even come out.

Hello,

What happened is the ignition key tumbler has fallen apart and needs to be replaced. Here are diagrams below to help toy replace the tumbler and key. Get the replacement from the dealer and bring your VIN# so they can program it for you if needed. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed. Cheers, Ken

Thanks for the reply Ken,

I went to the dealer a d got a new tumbler and reprogrammed the key, but to my luck and sunken heart it did the same thing. I asked around and got a little closer to the problem. The transfer idea that goes from the key to the starter module is a plastic strip with a small metals pin. I was told that he pin can fall out or the plastic transfer strip can break. What do you know about that?
