I went and had an emissions test on it, and the guy said that the smog pump is blowing air out of the little port coming off of the pump. Which it does and I thought it was supposed to, according to the manual? I have sent a picture of the port with this.

Hi,

Here is everything I have related to Lincolns in this model year. Take a look through it and let me know if it helps. The attached pics correlate with this information.

The self-test connector and tester hook-up is identical on all models. A two-piece self-test connector on the vehicle, plugs into a matching two-piece service connector at the end of the STAR/Self-Test adapter cable assembly, Fig. 15. To connect the STAR tester proceed as follows:

To check the STAR tester, turn the power switch, located on the right side of the tester to ON position. The tester will run a display check and the numerals 88 will begin to flash, Fig. 17. A steady 00 will then appear to signify that the tester is ready to start the self-test and receive service codes.

The self-test connector locations are different on front and rear wheel drive models. On front wheel drive models, the self-test connector is located behind the strut tower on the right side on the cowl, Fig. 18. On rear wheel drive models, except Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car, Continental and Mark VII models, the connector is located below the starter solenoid, between left strut tower and battery, Fig. 19. On Continental and Mark VII models, the connector is underneath the coolant reservoir, on the right side of the engine compartment, Fig. 20. On Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car models, the connector is located on the left fender apron, near the hood hinge, Fig. 21.

Take care,
Joe
