Jumped timing it cranks with no start

Would not start, got a jump, started but would not stay running. Cranked it again and it just keeps rolling over without starting. Something under the hood popped real loud and the cover to my air filter came loose. All lights work, door chimes, just cranks with no start.

You did not put engine size. so I suspect that maybe the timing belt broke and jumped time. depending on engine it may have bent valves as well. See link.
