4.2l engine has been changed from its oringinal carb
to a howell throttle body injection kit

for years it was fine. Now it will not start unless you hold the gas to the floor alowing air into the throttle
body if the engine is warm it may not start at all

when lookimg down throttle body when trying to start a much larger amount of fuel is bring dumped down it causing it to flood and not starting

You may need to just disassemble and clean the injectors on the throttle body. Make sure the bore and butterfly valve are free from varnish. Is there an idle actuation device on the throttle body? Did it come with any other additions such as an engine control module or input sensors? Change the fuel filter if you have not done so.
