My husband has put a new crate motor in our 1993 jeep wrangler, the mileage on the car is 197k. 4.0 HO. The oil is not pumping thru the engine. We replaced the oil pump but that did not fix the problem. Any suggestions as to what we need to do next. I'm gonna be a REAL mechanic in my next life!
Thanks

If he did not prime the oil pump, he never will get oil to pump thru it!
Before the oil pump goes on, you MUST fill the pump cavity on the block side with petroleum jelly!

Is there a difference between a 1993 and a 1995 distributor for the Jeep Wrangler. Should there be any play in the distributor. The crate motor was for a 1995 Wrangler. Our Wrangler is a 1993.

As for the distributors they may work I don't know for shure, but the part # is off by the last digit! It may be just the connectors that are different.
