The other day I noticed clutch was a little mushy. Then the next time in jeep I wasnt able to put into gear. I brought to a mech and he said master/slave cylinder was leaking. The vehicle only has 27000 and am wondering if this peoblem onced fixed will continue to happen and why this part is leaking.

thanks

See my profile. Slave is basically A TINY HYDRAULIC JACK activated to "RAISE" when clutch pedal is pushed. IT "LOWERS" when pressure plate PIVOT ARM (under heavy spring pressure). Pushes it back.

The difference is SLAVE CYLINDER never is LOCKED as a JACK would be.

Just sounds like a little BAD LUCK. DEFECTIVE. DAMAGED PART.

With CJs never saw a recurring problem. KEEP THE JEEP FOREVER!

Love, Turddog
