2006 Jeep Wrangler Starter?

My Jeep will not start. When I turn the key I get a click, click. When I hook up jumper cables it doesn't help. Could this be my starter? Is there anything else I should be looking into?

If you tap on starter with hammer and it cranks. Replace starter. Do this while somebody is turning key. If not it could be your connections main starter wire or grounds. Or it could still be a faulty starter. If if you try turning your key for run to start and one of those times it cranks you have a faulty solinoid. Its on top of the starter
