Engine Performance problem
2001 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

I just took my jeep to the shop, I had a rear main seal leak, the back was full of oil and it flooded my starter but we also noticed there is oil coming from under a "plate" were the starter wires are mounted in some screws. Where else can oil be leaking? The valve cover gasket looks fine but where else can iold be coming from? The leak is on the side of the engine on the passengers side. Of the engine. Its a small leak but getting everywhere? Could it still be the rear main seal, possibly or top or coming from a "plate" with a gasket?
Thank you for your help!

It sure could be the rear main. I am not familiar with the plate you refer to. Check to make sure your oil sending unit has not blown a seal and oozing oil, they lose it fast. I have a 4 cyl in the floor of the shop, I will go check it and maybe have a better answer. Get back to me and let me know about the sender and I should be able to help you further. Clean it up really good with some de-greaser drive it awhile and maybe it will show better. Let me know thanks Curt
