What is a competitive price for replacement of a water pumpon a 00 Jeep Wrangler. My daughter is away at school with the car and we are at the mercy of the local jeep dealer and were quoted 450--sounds a bit high but have no point of reference! Thanks.

450 is a bit to much get another opinion
its about 2 hr labor plus parts

Ok at work we charge $85 an hr rate to work on Jeeps in the service department. I can check the cost of the part but it sounds like they are tring to get over because she's not a local girl and no one to defend her. Get that second opinion best advice I can give.
