I recently replaced the clutch (entire set), and slave cylinder. The system was bled but the vehicle still wont go into gear when running. With the engine off, I can run it through all gears. Could the master cylinder be the problem? I do hear a very faint chattering with the engine running and clutch pedal depressed to the floor. The noise goes away when I relase the pedal. All fluids are of the right type and full in the tranny. And the tranny was fully supported as it was installed.

How does the pedal feel? Do you have hydraulic pressure? Is there a little bit of free-play in the pedal? (Needs to be). When you tightened down the pressure plate, did you go in a crossing pattern and slowly tighten it up? Or just tighten it down?

Te pedal feels fine. I back bled the sytem to expell all air. All bolts were tightened in a crossing pattern (much like tightening wheel lug blots) a little at a time until all were tightened fully. I used an alignment tool to line up the clutch disk, pilot, and cover and did not remove it until all bolts were tightened. All fluids were brought to the correct level and the correct fluids were used. The vehicle will not go into gear when running. I have no clue as to what can be the problem.

If hydraulics are good and all else is working, sounds like a bent disc, even though you were careful, there isnt much else to go to for this problem.
