1999 Jeep Wrangler Wont stay on.

I have 1999 jeep wrangler with 120000k mi. When I turn it on I have to keep my foot on the gas for it stay on otherwise it will turn back off. What should I do.

When was the last routine tune up done?
Purchase a vacuum guage and connect it to manifold vacuum. Note the operation of the needle at the lowest possible RPM.
Most likely you have a vacuum leak but a vacuum guage can confirm this. Check for any apparent hissing noise comming from the engine bay.
If the jeep is 4x4 equipped then check the hoses to the quadra trac system. It is all engaged by engine vacuum.
