1992 Jeep Wrangler Four wheel drive engagement!

When I put my jeep in 4 wheel drive the front wheels don't pull. I have put it in gear while stoped and the tranverse case has engaged the drive shaft to the front and will disengage the shaft in neutral but no wheel engagement. You can tell the difference in 4 wheel low in the gear ratio when pulling.

Check on the front axle passenger side just inside of the schock area. There should be a small metal pot on the axle that is vaccuum activated. This pot moves a arm inside on the axle and makes it 4x4. This pot can come unplugged or just quit working. Start looking here and get back to us. Curt
