Depends what you have, if you bought an OBD II scanner, return it, it has no connector for that until 96'.

Is your check engine light on? If yes turn the key from off to on three times, on the fourth one leave it in the on position, count the flasshes...22 would flash as 2 blinks, then a short puase, then 2 more blinks...if several codes are stored, the pause is longer between codes, code 55 will be the last code...do this and post all codes found...
This is how to read Chrysler codes even now without the tool.
DRB Diagnostic Mode 1. Connect DRB to data link connector. Connector is located in engine compartment, near PCM. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Enter SPEED CONTROL MENU. To enter SPEED CONTROL MENU, see DRB TEST FUNCTIONS . 2. At SPEED CONTROL MENU, press "2" (READ FAULTS) key. Press ENTER key. After DTCs are accessed, refer to TEST SC-1A under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TESTS to diagnose problem. If no DTCs are present, see TROUBLE SHOOTING. 3. To erase DTCs while in this option, press ATM key. AtDRB display, press "2" (ERASE) key. DRB will display ERASE FAULTS ARE YOU SURE? (ENTER TO ERASE). Press ENTER key. 4. When DRB is finished erasing DTCs, it will display FAULTS ERASED. This display will remain until ATM key is pressed. After ATM key is pressed, display will return to SPEED CONTROL MENU screen.
