I have the 2.8L turbo diesel. I live in a cold climate, use filtered fuel from my own tanks, and do my own service, whcih is minimal on this vehicle. the problem is the engine light in the upper riight corner comes on occassionly. Sometimes after several trips it goes off. I took it to the dealer once to be reset. The dealer had no explanation. Any ideas on the cause or concerns to look for?

Was the dealer able to reset the light, and if so, was there a code set in the ECM? Please advise.

Ther could be several things that wil trip the engine light ie; water in fuel, engine temp, fuel pressure, the list goes on like a gas vehicle. Asking again, was the dealer able to put the light out, or did it go out by itself. This could be a clue. Please advise.
