2002 Jeep Liberty recliner lever has broken shaft on driver

How may I repair a broken manual recliner drivers seat, that has broken the shaft at the recliner lever? Is it possible to find the shaft at the Jeep dealer? How will I install the shaft?

Have you had any luck with this problem? The same thing happened with my car. The metal just snapped in half. I'm going on a vacation this weekend and I would really like to have it fixed before then.

There are many replacement seats online, however, they all seem to require the addition of a safety harness, not seat belt.
