Turn signal, break light

I have a 2000 jeep cherokee laredo with 108,000 miles with a 6 cylinder. The driver's side turn signal gradually went out a year ago, and the brake light works fine unless I have my headlights on and hit the brake. Then, the brake light goes out on the driver's side. Now, the turn signal on the passenger's side is starting to do the same. Also, the auto and dome lights sometimes work and other times do not. When its really hot outside, it won't start unless I put it in neutral and my foot on the break, then it cranks. Could there be a bad wire connecting these problems?

First question, do you live near the coast? If salt contaminates a sytem, these things start happening.
If not, then I would say a proper cleaning of the light sockets with electrical contact cleaner would be my first step. Then on to tracing wires for breaks,
When you have to step on the brake to start, are you also pressing the accelerator? If so, probably looking at an issue with TPS (throttle postion sensor), or maybe injector pressure problem. I would clean the throttle body, or air-horn as case may be, and see if that helps. Good Luck.
