The check engine light came on recently. I had a scan done, and it came up with a P1287 code. The description I got was "Fuel injection pump controller supply voltage low condition". Any idea what this means or how to fix the problem?

This code can be tripped by a couple of conditions such as; At one time the fuel pump was slow to start or the was a sudden heavy draw on the electrical system. I would erase the code and see if it returns It could be just a glich. If, it does come back, it could be the fuel pump, but don't panic just yet. Hope this helps, Jim.
