My jeep died while driving. Symtoms-The engine will turn over but I have checked and have no spark-The idiot lights come on ( no check engine light)when key is turned and cranking. After cranking all the idiot lights turn off except the low fuel will stay on with the key on( there is at least half a tank). None of my intrument gages move! So far I have replaced the crankshaft sensor, the camshaft sensor, checked the ASD relay, light tested the plug in for the ASD relay with key on and got 2 terminals that were hot (one was definately dimmer than the other when I tested). Wiring all looks good and I have checked every fuse in fuse panel and power box in engine compartment. I now have the ingition switch out and all continuity test came back ok according to my haines manuel accept the #3 pin to ground. Unless I'm not testing correctly.( I'm no electricain) Could this be the problem or am I on the wrong path? Don't want to spend another 65.00 on a new switch if this isn't a possibility.

Hi
Need to check some basics, check voltage at coil. Also pull coil wire groung to block crank spark? Does fuel pump run ie. Have fuel pressure. Can't see ignition switch the problem with it cranking and power to ASD.
Let me know
Thanks for donate

Checked voltage of wires coming into coil got 1.5 volts when cranking. Shouldn't this be higher?

Needs to be system voltage on Dark green/white wire. Check ASD terminal B17 dark green /white wire when cranking must be system voltage. If not ASD faulty do you feel it click when cranking?

Yes I do feel the asd relay click when I crank over. Does this indicate the asd is good or bad?
