1997 Jeep Laredo 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

The car starts and drives normally in the morning, but when started a second time for the day the engine dies while driving. It takes 10 – 20 min to restart it, and then it again dies while driving. Idle is OK. The check engine light is “ON" all the time, but I have no idea how to read the code. Any suggestion what to do?

Hi:
Take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer. Most will do it for free. You need a scanner.

Let me know what you find.
