2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 144 miles

I just got this jeep and I noticed that the oil pressure is maxed out all the time. The jeep runs smooth and sounds smooth. My check engine light doesn't come on, and my oil light doesn't come on either. I thought maybe I should check the oil pressure in the morning after it had been parked all night long. I got in it and turned the key half way, just enough so my gauges turned on, but the engine was still off. As soon as I turned the key, my oil pressure maxed out within 5 seconds. I'm confused. I don't know if I should start worrying, or if it's a minor problem with my oil sending unit? Can anyone help me?

Sounds like a problem with the oil pressure switch
