Good afternoon,

I would start y cleaning the throttle body really well as that is a common issue for stalling.

I attached some guides for you to follow for the procedure.

Is the check engine light on? If it is, do you know the code?

Roy

Check engine light is on just driving now at 50 MPH, RPMs in between 2-3000 just didn’t want to go anymore felt like it was it didn’t want to go for a drive today. Pulled over shut off waited a few started right felt good drives fine pulled in to place took two turns left to park in parking lot steering had a lot of play shut off here we go again. Driving tried to put cruise control on which worked yesterday it is not today. Now on the dash a symbol car with squiggly lines light is on along with the check engine light that is still on going to get diagnostic test will post codes soon.

Just to jump in on this sounds like a possible crank sensor issue but with the ABS code I would start with checking the oil level. Before you do anything else, I would suggest checking the oil level and make sure it is full. If it is low, then that can cause all sorts of issues like this on this engine.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-change-engine-oil-and-filter

Luckily this is not the new 2.4L which it shutting off would be the sign of needing a new engine but the older 2.4L still has some stalling issues when the oil level is low.

Lastly there are some software flashes that will address different issues that are related to this so we may need to consult a dealer to help with that part.

Basically, this DTC C121C is telling you that you need to replace the ABS or PCM but there are updates that will hopefully prevent that. See the attached below.

Let us know what questions you have and what you find with the oil level.

Thanks
