Electrical problem
1985 Jeep CJ7 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual unknow miles

Ok. This Jeep is a nightmare electrically. It was obtained from a friend for about $800. So obviously it has problems. The engine is great, but wiring is horrible. I have a new starter, distributor, ignition coil, and I stripped a lot of crap out. The only electrical left is the essentials in the engine compartment, ignition, lighting, and that's really about it. Now, the jeep will turn over when I try to start it. But it will not start. When I put gas directly into the engine through the filter on the top(it has that circular object inside it) the jeep will start and run until the little bit I put in is gone. I checked the fuel injectors, pump and lines and it runs up to the carburetor and stops there. There are a few wires coming out of it and they go to these two large pill shaped objects on the fire wall and then go no where. Are these important and would they cause the problem?
