See my profile and other CJ 5/7 posts I have answered. I am not a paid mechanic or paid here either...Member like you (this is my hobby) I know CJs well. Keep your problems coming...I will help all I can. Will it bolt on? I am not familiar with the Rochester. We bolted a '77 1 bbl YF onto a 4-150 or 151 into a '86....Linkage needed a little modification to work....before we got in deep....we bolted it on and ran a temporary fuel line...and a wire to "hand accellerate" the Jeep, after it worked decent and no deprivation of fuel.....My friend put it on permanent. Whats wrong with your BBD?....I recommend Using a BBD...from like a '79---has no computer stepper motor....EZ to tune. Available "Rebuilt" from Autozone or Advance Auto....Reasonable. As seen below.
